Silicone Carbide Diesel Particulate Filters

Our DPFs come with either Cordierite or Silicon Carbide cores. Whereas cordierite is ‘industry standard’ a Silicon Carbide substrate offers higher thermal capacity, withstanding temperatures of up to 2700°c giving greater durability. The majority of EEC DPFs carry both substrate choices. SIC DPF part number have an ‘S’ suffix.

Cordierite Diesel Particulate Filters

Our Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) come with either Cordierite or Silicon Carbide cores. Cordierite is the ‘industry standard’ within the aftermarket and offers a durable but cost-effective alternative to the OE equivalent. Made from ceramic material, the porous substrate allows exhaust gases to flow through the walls of the filter but traps the physical soot particles. The DPF will require regeneration at a certain fill level to ensure it achieves its service life.

EEC has one of the widest ranges of DPFs, covering PLG and LCV vehicles up to and including Euro 6 legislation.

Our 6-in-1 DPF Solution is a trusted fuel-borne catalyst designed to keep diesel engines running cleaner, more efficiently, and with fewer emissions. It supports Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) to regenerate more effectively while reducing carbon deposits across the engine.

By lowering the natural combustion temperature needed to burn trapped particulates such as soot, unburnt carbon, and engine oil residues by up to 150°C, it helps prevent costly DPF blockages and maintains optimal engine performance.

A 25ml shot treats over 400 litres of fuel, offering a cost-effective alternative to premium fuels. Each dose actively cleans critical components including injectors, EGR valves, fuel vaporisers, turbos, and sensors, while assisting DPF regeneration.

The result? Improved fuel economy, smoother engine performance, reduced smoke, and lower emissions all in one simple, powerful solution.
