Since its launch in 2011, the tool now covers 283 different vehicles from: Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Fiat, Ford, GM-Opel, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Peugeot, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen and Volvo.
The Nissan Navara, Qashqai, Qashqai+2 and X-Trail vehicles are the latest addition, with more planned for the future.
The specialised hand-held EEC DPF Reset Tool allows garages to regenerate DPF’s, reset the EOLYS additive light, identify fault codes and perform a filter replacement function and static regeneration – without the assistance of a main dealer.
Paul Clark, Managing Director, European Exhaust and Catalyst, comments: “We continue to spend significant research time collecting the data required to deliver such a useful tool and immensely proud to have created an opportunity for aftermarket garages to increase their service offering to customers, build their knowledge of DPF’s and increase profitability.”
Technicians who have already purchased the tool can use the EEC DPF Reset Tool Update suite, downloadable to their computers, to update the latest applications as they are released, with the number of applications increasing regularly.
