LCV Catalysts, Diesel Particulate Filters & Exhausts by EEC

European Exhaust and Catalyst (EEC) is a leading UK-based manufacturer in catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters (DPFs), and complete exhaust systems. In their offering they have over 3000 applications on Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV). Their products help reduce harmful emissions, improve vehicle performance, and ensure compliance with Euro 5 and 6 regulations.

LCV Catalysts by EEC

What is an LCV Catalyst?

A Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) catalyst is a crucial exhaust system component that reduces harmful emissions by converting carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HCs), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) into less harmful gases, for van, bus, minibus, chassis cab and car derived vans amongst others. These catalysts use a ceramic or metallic substrate coated with platinum, palladium, and rhodium to facilitate chemical reactions.

Types of EEC LCV Catalysts

  • Three-Way Catalysts (TWC) – Used in petrol engines to reduce NOx, CO, and HCs
  • Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOCs) – Used in diesel engines to oxidize CO and HCs

Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) by EEC

What is a DPF?

A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) captures and stores soot and particulate matter (PM) from diesel engine exhaust gases, reducing pollution. Over time, the soot burns off through a process called regeneration, ensuring the filter remains effective.

Benefits of EEC DPFs

  • Removes up to 99% of diesel particulates for cleaner emissions
  • Supports passive and active regeneration to prevent blockages
  • Constructed from durable materials for long service life
  • Direct-fit designs for easy installation across multiple LCVs

Vehicle Range Covered by EEC

EEC provides catalysts, DPFs, and exhaust systems for a wide range of LCVs and passenger vehicles, including:

  • Ford
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Volkswagen
  • Peugeot
  • Citroën
  • Renault
  • Vauxhall/Opel
  • Fiat
  • Nissan
  • Toyota
  • Mitsubishi

Why Choose EEC?

  • Euro 6 and Euro 5 compliance for emissions reduction.
  • Extensive vehicle compatibility with major LCV brands.
  • High-quality materials for durability and performance.
  • Complete exhaust solutions, including catalysts, DPFs, and exhaust systems.
  • Direct-fit designs for easier installation.
